The Best Holiday Camp for Children This Half Term in the Cotswolds

What is it?

Sharky & George are so excited to be spending the 11th to 16th of February doing our half-term Adventure Days at The Fish.

A fin-tastic half-term adventure awaits! Dive into the wonders of the great outdoors with our specially curated week of activities, all geared towards creating unforgettable moments and nurturing your children's love for nature.

We've got a jam-packed, fun-filled schedule full of engaging, high-energy activities ranging from bug hunting and kite making to den building across their 500-acre Cotswolds estate.

Sharky & George X The Fish

Sharky & George were so excited to be approached by Ellie Hinchey & her team from The Fish at Farncombe Estate in late 2023. 

Sharky & George have been to The Fish a few times previously. Just in the last year, we have done two events at The Fish that went down an absolute storm. Although both events focused on having an epic amount of fun, they could not have been more different! 

One was an awesome Survival Party for the 9th birthday party, which, as a taster, involved building dens, campfires, tug of war & some sniper search. The other was an Adventure Race for adults at a finance company with hilarious quizzes, inflatable obstacle courses, bake-off challenges, code cracking & much much more.

What activities are on offer for the children

This February Half Term in Cotswolds, our incredible team will create a fabulous club of fun, games & experiences for the children.

Sharky & George provide the appropriate kit & talented staff, so the days will be full of adventure & activities to cater for any children who are ready for fun. 

We find it best to run a general club, and then the team can cater to the children who are there, rather than putting together a timetable in advance that might not suit the children who are around on that date.

This February Half Term activities will include:

• Survival Skills - Fire lighting, coke can fondues, sniper search, stretcher races, den building & more.
• Classic Games - Tug of War, limbo competitions, parachute games & waterbombs (weather depending!) plus extras.
• Spy Games - Puzzle solving, Code cracking, electronic trackers & secret UV messages to start with
• Mad Science experiments - Sherbet making, slime making & rocket launching with a variety of others 
• Chocolate making 
• Tee shirt tye dye 
• Kite Building & flying 

And that is truly just the tip of the iceberg!

What's unique & special about the team

Our team have boundless energy & enthusiasm to match the huge number of possibilities for fun they bring to each event. At The Fish Hotel in the Cotswolds,  Rufus this February Half Term will be running the sessions each day.

Rufus is qualified to the max for this role. By which we mean not only does he have DBS, first aid & safeguarding certificates, but also, with 300 Sharky & George events under his belt, he knows how to 'Find the Fun' in any situation. Rufus has led treasure hunts in Costa Rica to quests in Corsica as well as everything in between. He is one of our most regular team for the London Adventure days & normal parties.  

The Fish as a venue

These events were so well suited to The Fish. With the lovely grounds, amiable team & luxurious facilities it really lends itself to any occasion. The woods are perfect for making dens, building campfires to roast marshmallows & charging around the place playing 40/40 - all without disturbing the peace some guests seek within the hotel. 

Inside, you have rooms for doing smaller games, crafts & quizzes in case the weather is really bad! Again, these are set back from the main guest areas to ensure delicious lunches or relaxing spas are not disturbed.

What’s in it for the parents?

Sharky & George believe that when adults go for a wonderful day out, the children should be able to have a wonderful adventure as well. 

Too often the lack of child care results in the little legends being bored so the adults are not able to relax & fully enjoy their surroundings either.

Our skilful Sharky & George team make sure the children have a fantastic time playing games & creating cool crafts. All the while, the parents are elsewhere, making the most of all that The Fish has to offer.

This might be 

• Checking out the new spa facilities without being splashed in the face by your young ones.
• Enjoying a stroll in the woodland at your own pace, without being pushed & pulled along the way
• Booking a treatment with Farncombe Zen that you know won’t be disturbed 
• Enjoy one of the many chocolate box villages in the surrounding Cotswold area
• Chillout in the bar with a well-deserved G&T
