So what does the job actually involve? Well, say goodbye to clearing up coffee stains at the cafe and getting tangled in multiple dog leads walking your neighbours furry friends. Say hello to water bomb catapults, tug of war ropes, spy equipment, stomp rockets, chocolate making… and so much more. 

The best part of the job is variety - no party is the same! We’ll keep you on your toes and make sure you never work a boring shift again. All we ask of you, is that you bring all of the ENERGY. We are looking for a team with a can-do attitude, who are proactive and willing to get stuck in. 

Children’s parties are at the heart of S&G, we are total experts in this field. It’s a simple matter of learning on the job (we also host paid training days) and the more parties you work at, the quicker you’ll get to grips with how we run our events - which will help you climb the ranks faster. 

When you first start out, your main role will be being the “hype” person to your fellow teammate and making sure all the children are involved and having the best time. What an honour it is to be able to be part of the birthday child’s favourite day of the year! 

Want a freelance job that is totally flexible and works around your schedule or studies? As a Party Team member, you will be part of a big freelance team with varying experience. 

Another great aspect of this job is that you don’t have to commit to a certain number of hours a week, there are no long shifts or set times you have to work. 

We have sociable working hours too, as most of our events are during the day at the weekend. You will be given a staff account and you simply put in your morning or afternoon availability. 

We will allocate you to events and you accept or reject depending if you are still free.

The innate mischiefness within the company all started with two mates; Charlie (Sharky) and George, who pulled a prank on their school teacher and as a punishment had to plan his daughter's birthday party. 

The pitch was simple: no clowns, be yourselves and get everyone involved in playing fun games with an element of chaos. This is where they discovered that they had a natural talent of finding the fun in everything and went on to build a business centred around this ethos.

By 2007, Sharky & George was established and seventeen years later, we have a HQ team of 25 people, over 250 freelancers in our forever growing Party Team and together we have entertained a whopping 1 million adults and children in over 30 countries. Bringing the fun across the world, one party at a time. 

Our freelance Party Team are at the epicentre of our company. 

Our Party Team consists of a big bunch of legends with a huge range of talents, experience and backgrounds. They all have one thing in common: their sense of fun and adventure. 

We always encourage our Party Team to bring their own twist to our games to make each event unique and special. Their creativity, charisma and engagement is the reason why we are the best in the business and renowned in the events industry.

Lots of our Party Team have been with us for over 12 years and have found lifelong friends from ultimately having a laugh together at our parties and events. We always encourage our team to invite their friends to apply because, let’s be honest, partying with your pals is way more fun!

5. Travel the World

Release your inner kid whilst earning some serious cash in Greece, Spain or Mauritius

Although the majority of our events take place across London and around the West country, we also have lots of opportunities to work abroad. 

We have our P.I.C services (Partner In Crime) - this is Sharky & George's take on providing fun childcare, often on holiday with a family. We have had teams head out to Dubai, Scotland, New York, Maldives, Australia, Bahamas and Italy to join various family holidays.

Regularly our clients ask for our team to return and go on more family holidays because they often bond and build such a lovely relationship with the children. Earn whilst on holiday… which may lead to more holidays... Now we’re talking!

We’ve also held numerous treasure hunts and car quests across the world including France, South Africa, French Polynesia, Byrain, Costa Rica ... to name a few.

“I went abroad to Sani & Ikos in Greece four times last year with Sharky & George - meaning I spent the year with a lovely golden tan! The work itself is genuinely fun and rewarding - in the morning you could be doing cool science experiments and in the afternoon cooling off with a mega water fight (whilst catching a nice tan - did I mention that?). The hotels are gorgeous and after a day of running activities, you can eat like a KING / QUEEN at the INCREDIBLE BUFFET (I left a few kg heavier ah well at least I was tanned!). You can also use the hotel's gym to attempt to have some kind of a summer bod while you're out there! But the BEST things about these gigs are the people you work with - heading down to the beach for a cocktail with your team, going out in the evening with the locals and heading to the beach to cool down on your day off!
