what's it all about
Treasure Hunts are a staple team building offering at Sharky & George, and are the perfect activity to get everyone on their feet and into the competitive spirit!
We have many different options for your next team treasure hunt and the relevant activities and challenges that guests could complete within it.
Whether you opt for the old school map or the app-based hunt, it's a great way to explore your city with your colleagues.

Option 1 - The Map
For this Sharky and George take on a classic treasure hunt, guests will be split into teams and each receive a triple locked briefcase and a highly designed old-school map.
To unlock the secrets of the map they will first have to crack cryptic clues and ciphers and then solve riddles to reveal the locations of various challenges across the city.
With 2-3 hours on the clock, teams will need to locate and complete the challenges across the city. Through successful completion of the tasks, players will receive the keys and codes required to open their briefcase. Some challenges will have specific time slots for each of the teams, others will need a specific amount of people to attend, whilst others will require creativity, brain power or bravery.
The aim of the game is to uncover various clues that will reveal the final location for the event, where teams will ultimately be competing to be the first ones to arrive.
Option 2 - The App
Using a GPS based app, guests will be split into teams and set off on a series of challenges across the city.
Over a 2-3 hour period, the teams will need to accrue as many points as possible to be the ultimate winners. The challenges within the app include:
- Photo & video challenges
- Riddles to solve
- Trivia questions
- Information gathering tasks
- Scavenger hunts
During the course of the hunt, teams will split up and then come back together at critical locations to take part in team challenges, these include -
- Break the safe challenge
- Minute to win it activities
- Sports challenge
The winning team will not necessarily be the first team to the final location, but one that has amassed the most points along the way. At the end we will pull together some of the best photos from the teams and complete a small awards ceremony.
The final location
To finish the treasure hunt and bring all teams back together, we can organise drinks and/or dinner to celebrate the end of the activity!
From cocktail masterclasses or wine tasting sessions, to more casual drinks or sit-down dinners, we can accomodate your preference and organise a great finale to the treasure hunt.
This is also a great opportunity for us to announce the winners of the hunt and share all of the photos and videos from the challenges.
