A group of bold 10-year-old adventurers stepped straight into their own Swallows & Amazons world, complete with sailing missions, tree-climbing challenges, fire-side cooking, and a daring race to save the island from being sold. It was a full throttle day of imagination, teamwork, and brilliant outdoor mischief – the kind of adventure they’ll be talking about for years.
Design an immersive, story-led adventure for a group of 10-year-old girls who adore Swallows & Amazons. The family wanted something outdoor, hands-on, and properly adventurous, blending classic childhood freedom with structured challenges and a narrative that would pull the whole experience together.
We created a living, breathing storyline inspired by the spirit of Swallows & Amazons, where the girls became the heroes of their own epic quest. The island was at risk of being sold, and only by completing a series of daring challenges could they gather the clues, skills, and “land deeds” needed to save it. Sailing, scouting, climbing, campcraft, and problem-solving all fed into the central narrative. Every detail – from maps and mission kits to fire-cooking ingredients – was designed to fuel the sense of adventure.
Our team transformed the site into a fully immersive island world, complete with camps, trails, and mission checkpoints. We led the girls through tree climbs, boat trips, fire-building skills, and collaborative tasks, always keeping the story at the heart of the journey. As the sun dipped, they cooked their own supper over the fire and gathered for the final quest, piecing together clues to stop the island’s sale and celebrate their victory under the stars.
