Midnight Madness

Midnight Madness is one of the most incredible corporate charity challenge in London that we've been involved in: a 12-hour, after-dark adventure that takes teams from dusk till dawn through a city-wide maze of cryptic clues, immersive characters, physical challenges and theatrical surprises. All set against some of London’s most extraordinary locations - from hidden vaults and rooftops to museums, markets and iconic landmarks. Powered by 75+ actors and a fully immersive narrative, it’s Da Vinci Code meets The Crystal Maze - at full throttle.

We’ve proudly brought Midnight Madness to life 4 times since 2018, helping raise life-changing funds for disadvantaged children across the UK. Launched in 2018 and still running annually, it’s open to any company ready to test their wits, teamwork and stamina in the ultimate all-night charity challenge.

The Brief

To design a city-wide overnight adventure that could galvanise teams, push boundaries and raise transformative funds for charity. Born from the energy of New York, we were tasked with bringing this iconic puzzle race to London. The result needed to feel immersive, cleverly engineered, and genuinely extraordinary.

Concept Creation

We build Midnight Madness like a film production and a puzzle universe colliding: interweaving narratives, bespoke puzzles, GPS and trigger-based tech, and a roster of extraordinary locations that turn London into the ultimate puzzle-board. Every clue route, character interaction and environment is crafted to deliver surprise, humour and genuine mystery after dark.

Event Delivery

When the sun sets, our cast take centre-stage across the city – but just as essential are the back-of-house team helpers, tracking progress and offering real-time support through the night. Armed with team trackers and radios, they act as a discreet safety net and guide should any team hit trouble or need a nudge in the right direction.

Midnight Madness is powered by long-standing relationships with extraordinary London venues – from cultural institutions that open their doors after hours, to iconic late-night destinations that create secret moments for charity. Built on years of trust and collaboration, these partnerships help us transform the city into an immersive overnight puzzle universe with a real impact.

Key Moments

Piccadilly Lights
Players were asked to meet at the Statue of Eros in Piccadilly Circus at 2am with no further information. On cue the screens crackled away from the usually adverts to a puzzle for all 200 people to solve.
Thames Boats
At midnight madness we don't cross the river with bridges. More fun to board a high speed powerboat by the Houses of Parliament to race through the night and land at the new pier at Battersea Power Station.
Ultimate Slide
The ArcelorMittal Orbit slide was the centrepiece of a puzzle which involved exploring the sculpture before finding the final clue on the roof of the slide as they plummeted down to earth.
Gherkin Heist
At the most famous City skyscraper the teams had to dodge security and make their way to the very top of the London landmark. Once there they needed to break open a safe to get crucial information.
